Chris Bingley

Certified Athletic Therapist, Registered Massage Therapist, Ostopathic Manual Practitioner (Thesis Writer)

Chris's journey in the fitness industry began in 1998 in downtown Toronto, where he started as a personal trainer and boxing coach. His passion for strength and conditioning, as well as rehabilitation, led him to pursue higher education to better serve individuals with physical training and rehabilitation needs.

After commencing his studies at the University of Toronto, Chris transitioned to Sheridan College's Athletic Therapy Program, where he graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Applied Health Science Degree, specializing in Athletic Therapy. He furthered his expertise by obtaining National Athletic Therapy Certification with the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association and later pursued Massage Therapy at Sutherland-Chan School in Toronto, earning his diploma and registration with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

Currently, Chris is in the final stages of completing his Osteopathy training at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, working towards earning a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (D.O.M.P.) and a Diploma in the Science of Osteopathy (D.Sc.O.), culminating with the completion of an independent Osteopathic research thesis.

As a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association, Ontario Athletic Therapist Association, the College of Massage Therapy of Ontario, and the Ontario Association of Osteopaths, Chris has a well-rounded skill set that includes acute sports injury management, rehabilitation, regenerative and restorative care, injury prevention, strength and conditioning, and athletic development. His clinical expertise encompasses therapeutic modalities such as ultra-sound, TENS, IFC, neuromuscular stimulation, low-level laser, cryo-therapy, thermal therapy, athletic taping and bracing, and kinesio-taping, all tailored to optimize healing and recovery based on individual conditions.

In his private practice in downtown Toronto, Chris employs a unique combination of manual and exercise therapy grounded in osteopathic and sports medicine philosophies. With a focus on resolving injuries, improving function, and enhancing performance, Chris creates an environment that supports lifelong progression in any chosen hobby, leisure activity, or sport.

Notably, Chris completed his 12th and final season as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Toronto Nomads Men’s Rugby Club in 2016, marking the culmination of an impressive tenure with the team.
